Training in Trauma & Art for Palestinian Mental Healthcare Professionals

This 4-module Training was provided online to 2 groups of each 12 local (Mental) Healthcare Professionals from Palestine, including trauma therapists, doctors, nurses, social workers and teachers.
The goals of this Training were for the participants to get a first broad idea about the possibilities of using art - with a focus on stabilization - in their work with traumatized children, youngsters and adults, and to understand the neuroscience which explains the effectiveness of art in trauma support. A further goal is for the participants to feel confident in applying art and creativity in their work, also online, and as a resource for themselves.
This Training offers self-experience with various art activities, methods and techniques, which can be used both for working individually as in groups, both online as live. It also offers a theoretical background with regard to Art Therapy, Trauma and Neuroscience.
