This is a one-on-one training by Anne van den Ouwelant in Art Therapy & Trauma Support including regular online supervision with Mladen Kojić, a local art workshop leader from Srebrenica. Mladen organizes individual and group art workshops with children and youngsters from the municipality of Srebrenica within Crea Thera's project "Sources of Life". He also offers group art workshops to psychiatric clients in the local Mental Health Care Center Srebrenica within Crea Thera's project "Creative therapies in Bosnia-Herzegovina: de-stigmatising mental health".
Goal
The goal of this Training in Art Therapy & Trauma Support is to support local art workshop leader Mladen in his professional and personal development, focussing on art and trauma in post-conflict Srebrenica.
Methods
During the on the spot Training in Art Therapy & Trauma Support, Anne participates in Mladen's art workshops in Srebrenica. She supervises Mladen with respect to these art workshops and specific cases. Anne provides psychoeducation to Mladen with respect to Psychotraumatology and Neurobiology and she offers him individual art exercises and reflection, focussed on Mladen's personal development. Anne and Mladen also brainstorm about the structure and planning of future activities and workshops. Furthermore, Mladen receives Skype supervision to follow up and reflect regularly on his work.
